Yes. Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR 1/2/3) payments and the SEN allowance are pensionable, so they increase both your gross pay and your pension contributions before tax and NI are calculated.

What is the September 2026 teacher pay uplift?

The 2026/27 teachers' pay scales include the 3.5% uplift applied from September 2026. The calculator uses the uplift-affected M and U ranges for the relevant part of the year.
