How holiday pay is worked out

  • Regular hours: 5.6 × days worked per week, capped at 28 days. Holiday pay is your normal pay for the hours of leave taken.
  • Irregular hours: holiday accrues at 12.07% of hours worked. Multiply hours worked by 12.07% to get paid holiday hours.
  • Variable pay: commission, bonuses and regular overtime can be included in holiday pay if they are normally paid.
  • When it is paid: holiday pay is due when leave is taken, not as an extra amount on every payslip for regular hours.
